FCAV teams up with VoicePlay for Video Shoot

Recently, FCAV had the exciting opportunity to collaborate with the award-winning a cappella group, VoicePlay, to provide advanced lighting for their latest upcoming video release. This project unfolded over a two-day venture, during which meticulous planning and execution were paramount. In the days leading up to the shoot, the set was thoughtfully constructed to ensure that every element was in place for the production. On the first day of our involvement, the dedicated FCAV crew members arrived early to install the truss systems, lighting fixtures, and the necessary power supplies to support the elaborate setup. A diverse range of lighting fixtures was utilized to create the perfect atmosphere for the video. Among the equipment were our state-of-the-art Martin Mac Auras, renowned for their vibrant colors and exceptional performance. Additionally, we deployed our FCAV 400w LED Hybrid 3-in-1 Beam/Spot/Wash CMY fixtures, which provided versatility in lighting design, allowing for dynamic transitions between different lighting effects. Furthermore, we incorporated Elation LED Par 64 fixtures, known for their reliability and brilliance, alongside our innovative 3-in-1 LED matrix bars, which added depth and texture to the visual presentation. Following the completion of the set build, programming commenced on the first day. This critical phase involved the precise coordination of lighting cues with the musical elements of the performance. Using Pro Tools, we expertly sent MIDI cues to trigger the lighting cues, ensuring that every beat and note of VoicePlay's performance was enhanced by the carefully synchronized lighting design. This level of integration between audio and visual elements is essential in creating a captivating experience for the audience. Filming took place on the second day, and the fixtures performed flawlessly, delivering the intended visual impact that complemented VoicePlay's dynamic sound. The atmosphere on set was electric, with both the crew and the performers thrilled with how the lighting transformed the space and elevated the overall production quality. As the day wrapped up, there was a palpable sense of satisfaction among all involved, as the collaboration had resulted in a visually stunning product. Now, as we eagerly await the finished product, we reflect on the successful partnership with VoicePlay and the incredible synergy that developed throughout the project.
